Richardson Mfg Co. cast iron tool box

A tool box from an implement (probably a horse drawn mower) made by Richardson Mfg Co., Worcester Mass. This company was doing business in Worcester by 1860, and continued into the early 1900's, making horse mowers, rakes and tedders and manure spreaders.

The unusually heavy cast iron box weighs 10 lbs. One hinge has been broken and has an early riveted repair.
