Headstock for Barnes 4 1/2 Velocipede Lathe
This headstock was removed from a velocipede lathe that had apparently fallen over, damaging the tailstock and carriage. The headstock is in fine condition, with tight bearings and perfect gears. Also included is the 28 tooth spindle gear with its original retaining nut. The spindle bearings have been fitted with wick oilers - a nice touch, but I don't think original Barnes.
Left end view The 28 tooth gear and retaining nut are included.
right end view The spindle threads and mt1 taper socket are good.
rear view. The back gear and spindle locking mechanisms are good.
